How to Record Your Voice in 3 Steps
Press Record
Click ● Record and allow microphone access when the browser asks. The level meter moves with your voice and the timer counts up. Pause and resume as often as you like.
Stop and listen
Click ■ Stop. The recording loads into the player with its waveform so you can check it. Not happy? Press Record again to start over.
Save as MP3 or WAV
Pick the format under Settings and click Save recording. Download the file or record another take.
Voice Recorder — Frequently Asked Questions
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. The microphone stream is captured and encoded entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and the recording disappears when you close the tab unless you download it.
Why does the browser ask for microphone permission?
Browsers require explicit consent before any page can hear your microphone. The permission applies only to toolity.in and you can revoke it from the padlock icon in the address bar.
Which microphone is used?
The system default, unless you pick another device under Settings — the list fills in after you grant permission the first time. Turn processing off for music or instruments to avoid the noise suppressor pumping.
Is there a time limit?
No. Recordings are held in memory (roughly 10 MB per minute), so an hour-long session is fine on a desktop. Pause for breaks instead of stopping — Stop ends the take.
Which formats can I open and save?
Open anything your browser plays: MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG, Opus, FLAC and WebM audio. Save as MP3 (128, 192 or 320 kbps) or lossless 16-bit WAV. Pick the format under Settings before you run the tool.
