1. Core Principle: No Server-Side Data Storage
At Toolity.in, we believe privacy is a fundamental standard. Unlike traditional web services that process calculations and file conversions on remote backends, our tools are constructed to execute 100% locally in your web browser.
When you enter text, upload images, generate QR codes, format code, or perform mathematical calculations, that information resides solely in your computer’s temporary memory (RAM) and is never transmitted to our servers or saved in any database.
2. Local Storage Usage
Toolity.in sets no advertising cookies. Anonymous Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) measure page views, as described in section 3; every cookie and storage item is listed in our Cookie Policy. We also use the browser’s standard localStorage API to store interface preferences and tool data on your device:
- Theme Preference: We store whether you prefer Dark Mode or Light Mode (
toolity_theme) so your preference persists across sessions. - Tool settings, drafts and game scores: Some tools (e.g. Online Notepad, JSON Visualizer, timers and games) save their settings, text or best scores so they are there when you return.
This local data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
3. Third-Party CDNs & Infrastructure
To provide fast static delivery, Toolity relies on trusted Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) for static web assets:
- Google Fonts: For serving typography (Inter font).
- Iconify: For loading lightweight open-source Lucide vector icons.
- GitHub Pages: For global static hosting under SSL encryption.
- Google Tag Manager / Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated page-view statistics (which tools are popular, device type, country) to decide what to build next. This never includes the content you process in a tool. You can block it with any standard content blocker without affecting the tools.
Read-only fetch relays (a few Labs tools only): browsers do not let a page read another website directly. Open Graph Preview, Meta Tag Extractor and Redirect Checker therefore first try a direct request and, when the target site blocks it, send only the URL you typed to a public read-only relay — allorigins.win, then codetabs.com — which fetches the page and returns its HTML. The Website Favicon Extractor and YouTube Thumbnail Downloader use images.weserv.nl and allorigins.win the same way to download an image. Those services see the URL and your IP address under their own privacy terms; Toolity sends nothing else and keeps no record. Every one of these tools also works with pasted HTML, which never leaves your browser.
AI agents (WebMCP): if your browser has a built-in AI agent, Toolity tools can be operated by it. Tools still run locally; when an agent passes a file by URL, your browser fetches it directly. Results you ask the agent to read are shared with that agent under its own provider's privacy terms, not Toolity's.
4. Advertising & Monetization
Toolity does not run ads today. All tools are free and work without subscriptions.
- Toolity is currently ad-free. No advertising networks, ad scripts or sponsored placements run on any page, so no ad-related cookies or trackers are set.
- If this ever changes, this section will be updated before any ads go live, and ads would be limited to tool pages — never the homepage or navigation directories.
