How It Works

How to Watermark a Video in 3 Steps

1

Drop a video

Drag an MP4, MOV or WebM onto the left pane. The right pane immediately shows a live preview of the current frame with the watermark on it.

2

Design the watermark

Open Settings: type your text or upload a PNG/SVG logo, pick one of nine positions, then adjust size, opacity and colour. Scrub the player to check the mark against different scenes.

3

Apply and download

Click Apply watermark. The video is re-encoded once with the mark burned in, then you can download it or copy a summary.

FAQ

Video Watermarker — Frequently Asked Questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. The clip is decoded by your browser's own video player, redrawn onto a canvas and re-encoded with the MediaRecorder API — all on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I use a transparent logo?

Yes — PNG, WebP and SVG with transparency are drawn with their alpha channel intact, and the Opacity slider fades the whole mark on top of that. Size is a percentage of the video width so the logo scales with the clip.

Can I remove a watermark with this tool?

No. This tool only adds marks; it does not detect or erase existing ones. Use the Video Cropper to cut a corner watermark out of frame instead.

Which format do I get?

MP4 (H.264) in Chrome, Edge and Safari; WebM (VP9/VP8) in Firefox. The output badge shows the container and size. Need another format? Run the result through our Video Converter.

Why does it take as long as the clip itself?

Browser encoding happens in real time: the video plays once while every frame is captured, so a 2-minute clip takes about 2 minutes. Keep the tab visible — background tabs pause rendering and would stall the job.
