How to Merge Videos in 3 Steps
Add your clips
Drop two or more videos onto the left pane (you can add more later). Each appears in the list with its duration; click a row to preview it.
Put them in order
Use the arrows to move clips up or down and × to remove one. The first clip sets the output resolution; choose Letterbox or Fill in Settings for clips of a different shape.
Merge and download
Click Merge videos. Clips play back to back while the result is encoded, then the single joined video appears on the right.
Video Merger — Frequently Asked Questions
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The clip is decoded by your browser's own video player, redrawn onto a canvas and re-encoded with the MediaRecorder API — all on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Do the clips need the same resolution or format?
No. Any mix of MP4, MOV and WebM works. The output takes the first clip's size; others are letterboxed (black bars) or filled (centre-cropped) to fit, so portrait and landscape can be combined.
How many clips can I merge?
There is no fixed count — the limit is total length, because encoding runs in real time. Ten one-minute clips mean about ten minutes of waiting with the tab visible.
Can I add a transition or trim clips here?
Not in this tool: clips are joined with a hard cut. Trim each clip first with the Video Trimmer, then merge the pieces.
Which format do I get?
MP4 (H.264) in Chrome, Edge and Safari; WebM (VP9/VP8) in Firefox. The output badge shows the container and size. Need another format? Run the result through our Video Converter.
