Audio Waveform Image Generator — Frequently Asked Questions
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is decoded by your browser's Web Audio engine, processed on your device and encoded in the page. Nothing is sent to a server.
PNG or SVG?
PNG is a ready-to-post image at the chosen size. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size and can be recoloured in Figma, Illustrator or CSS.
How is the waveform drawn?
Each bar (or point) is the peak level of its slice of the track across all channels, scaled so the loudest moment fills the height.
Can I make it match my brand?
Yes — pick any wave colour and background, or keep the background transparent to place it over artwork.
Does it work on long files?
Yes. Hour-long podcasts render in a second or two because only peaks are measured.
