How It Works

How to Rotate PDF Pages in 3 Steps

1

Drop a PDF

Every page appears as a thumbnail. Pages that are already sideways show up sideways — easy to spot.

2

Rotate the Pages

Click ↻ or ↺ under any thumbnail to turn that page in 90° steps; the thumbnail turns with it. Use Rotate all in Settings to fix a whole scan at once.

3

Apply & Download

Click Apply. The rotation is written into the page metadata, so nothing is re-rendered and quality is untouched.

FAQ

PDF Page Rotator — Frequently Asked Questions

Is rotating lossless?

Yes. PDF pages carry a /Rotate attribute that viewers honour; the tool changes that number and leaves the page content, text and images exactly as they were.

Why does the page still look wrong in one viewer?

Very old or minimal viewers ignore /Rotate. If you hit one, run the file through PDF Compressor in Maximum mode afterwards — it bakes the rotation into the rendered page.

Can I rotate just the odd or even pages?

Rotate all, then click ↺ on the pages you want back — with the live thumbnails that takes seconds. A dedicated odd/even switch is on the list if people ask for it.

The tool says my PDF is encrypted — what now?

Password-protected PDFs must be opened with their password before they can be edited. Use the Unlock PDF tool first, then come back.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The document is parsed and rewritten by pdf-lib and rendered by PDF.js (the engine Firefox uses) entirely inside your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
