FAQ

GIF Rotator — Frequently Asked Questions

Is my GIF uploaded anywhere?

No. Frames are decoded, rotated on a canvas and re-encoded in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Is the animation speed kept?

Yes — each frame keeps its own delay, so the timing is identical to the original.

Does rotating lose quality?

Rotations by 90° steps are pixel-exact. The GIF is re-encoded with a fresh colour palette, which can shift colours very slightly on gradients.

What is the difference between mirror and flip?

Mirror swaps left and right (like a selfie camera). Flip swaps top and bottom. 180° rotation equals both together.
