How It Works

How to Embed a Chat Bubble Widget in 3 Steps

1

Write the messages

One bubble per line. Start a line with > to put it on the right as “you”; plain lines come from the named sender. Add a name, an emoji or initials avatar and an optional time label.

2

Pick a style

iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram or Slack colours — or Plain, which uses your accent colour and theme. Turn on the typing indicator for a live, animated feel.

3

Embed it

Copy the embed URL and paste it into Notion with /embed, or use the iframe snippet on any website. Every setting lives in the link, so it works on any device with no account.

FAQ

Chat Bubble Widget — Frequently Asked Questions

How do I embed this widget in Notion?

Click Copy in the toolbar to copy the embed URL, open your Notion page, type /embed, paste the link and press Enter. Drag the block handles to fit your column.

What is this widget for?

Testimonials, pull-quotes, a welcome note on a Notion dashboard, mock conversations in docs and tutorials, or a “message from the founder” block on a landing page — anywhere a chat bubble reads better than a paragraph.

Can I make a whole conversation?

Yes — up to about 600 characters across as many lines as you like. Lines starting with > sit on the right (you), others on the left (the named sender). For a full phone-frame screenshot use the Chat Mockup tool in Media instead.

Are the platform looks official?

They are colour schemes inspired by each app, not their logos or trademarks — fine for illustration, not for pretending to be a real screenshot of someone else’s message.

Where are my settings saved?

Every setting is encoded in the embed URL itself. No account or database is needed, and the link keeps working on any device.

Does the embedded widget track visitors?

No. The /embed/ page loads no analytics or third-party scripts and runs entirely in the visitor's browser.
