Redirect Checker
Find out where a short or redirecting link really lands — final URL, status code, host and HTTPS changes.
How to Use Redirect Checker in 3 Steps
Paste the link
Any http or https URL — short links (bit.ly, t.co, tinyurl), tracking links, or a page you suspect redirects.
Press Check Redirect
The link is followed to its end. You get the start URL, the final URL, the final HTTP status, and flags for host change, HTTPS upgrade and path change.
Open or copy
Press Open to visit the final destination directly, or copy the summary. Clean the final URL with URL Cleaner if it still carries tracking parameters.
Redirect Checker — Frequently Asked Questions
Does it list every hop in the chain?
No — it shows the start and the final destination. Browsers hide intermediate redirect responses from JavaScript, and the relay follows the chain server-side, so hop-by-hop detail would need a dedicated server, which Toolity does not run. For 95% of “where does this go?” questions the final URL is the answer.
Why does the relay see my URL?
Cross-site requests are blocked in browsers (CORS). A direct request is tried first; when the destination forbids it, the URL alone is sent to a public read-only relay (allorigins.win, then codetabs.com) which follows the redirect and reports back. No page content you type is sent — only the link.
The status says 200 but I expected 301 — why?
The status shown is the final response after all redirects. A 200 means the chain ended on a real page. “Redirected: yes” tells you a redirect happened on the way.
It says “couldn’t reach” — is the link dead?
Possibly, or the site blocks automated fetches (common with login walls and bot protection). Try opening it normally; if it works there but not here, the site is blocking relays, not you.
Is it safe to check suspicious links?
Safer than clicking them: nothing runs, no cookies are sent, and only the final address is shown. Treat unknown destinations with the usual care before pressing Open.
