FAQ

Audio Spectrum Visualizer — Frequently Asked Questions

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is decoded by your browser's Web Audio engine, processed on your device and encoded in the page. Nothing is sent to a server.

What am I looking at?

Bars show loudness per frequency band (bass on the left, treble on the right). Waveform shows the raw signal. Spectrogram scrolls time left to right with frequency upwards and brightness as loudness.

How long does recording take?

Recording runs in real time — a 3-minute song takes 3 minutes. Keep the tab visible; browsers slow down hidden tabs.

Which video format do I get?

WebM (VP8/VP9 with Opus audio), which plays in browsers, VLC and most editors, and uploads to YouTube. Convert to MP4 with the Video Converter for Instagram.

Can I use it with my microphone?

Not yet — it visualizes files. For live mic levels, try the Voice Recorder.
